As a Private Client Tax Senior, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, working on a mix of compliance and advisory work while continuing to develop your technical knowledge. You'll also play an important role in supporting junior team members and building long term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment, Trust and Partnership Tax Returns, including more complex cases
- Managing personal tax compliance work and ensuring all deadlines are met
- Undertaking Capital Gains Tax calculations and supporting personal tax planning assignments
- Reviewing PAYE codes, National Insurance calculations and wider tax compliance matters
- Building strong relationships with clients, HMRC and other stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the tax team
- Assisting with workflow planning and helping to ensure work is delivered efficiently
- Preparing commercially focused correspondence and providing practical advice to clients
- Continuing to develop your technical knowledge across a broad range of Private Client Tax matters
- ATT studying or recently ATT qualified
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice in Private Client Tax
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
- Organised, proactive and keen to continue learning
- A genuine team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
