Senior Business Analyst to join Banking Advisory Practice, focusing on digital transformation and strategic change projects. Responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure and delivery for Banking partners.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business users, understand problem statement, and agree scope of engagement
- Interview product owners to understand as-is business processes and develop customer-driven to-be processes
- Document process models and identify opportunities for improvement
- Map customer experience using tools like personas and customer journeys
- Gather and analyse statistical data from the business areas to support the business case for change
- Research and analyse best-in-class industry processes to support digitization and simplification of customer journeys
- Plan and design digital strategies encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty
- Bring in industry experience and thought leadership to advise on trends, future operating models and best-in-class journeys
- Develop a deep understanding of the business context and marketplace that stakeholders operate in
- Employ process modelling techniques to capture requirements
- Work with Product Owner and Development teams to deliver process improvements
- Work with multiple product owners to write and develop clear, non-implementation specific epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Support and contribute to a metrics-driven culture within the function
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking
- Experience working on-site with UK-based client banks (London)
- Knowledge of UK/EU financial regulations and regulatory change delivery
- Exposure to digital transformation, core banking, or data programmes
- Design thinking; ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations, communicate clearly, conduct requirements workshops, and drive decision making
- Experience in documenting business cases, business process modelling, and requirement elicitation through workshops
- Manage projects from inception through design to delivery
- IT background with solid grounding in technology
- Experience of working in both Agile and waterfall SDLCs
- Strong communication, collaboration and continuous improvement are core values
