NLG Health are currently looking for experienced Band 6 and 7 Clinical Pharmacists for a Hospital in Croydon to cover an ongoing booking until the end of July 2024, with an anticipated extension. Main Duties
The post holder will provide a Clinical Pharmacy service to a defined specialty on a temporary basis. They will deputise for the Lead Directorate Pharmacist in the delivery of the directorate responsibilities and duties and will assist in providing and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service to a cohort of patients in accordance with Trust policies. They will support and supervise less experienced pharmacists on rotation. They will deliver, develop and evaluate specialist clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the objectives set by their section lead. Each rotation has been designed to develop clinical, specialist and leadership skills, ensuring the development of a well-rounded and capable pharmacist.
Rotations may include:
- Acute Medicine
- General Medicine
- Surgery
- Elderly care
Requirements
You will be a Pharmacist that is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and has hospital and ward based clinical experience. It is essential that you work within codes of practice and professional guidelines and be able to communicate health issues effectively and courageously. You must currently be living in the UK, have effective communication skills, excellent attendance record as well as the ability to work under pressure. Additionally, it is essential that you have a minimum of 6 months previous work experience within acute healthcare setting with the ability to provide 2 professional references are essential.
