About the role

We are seeking committed and experienced Secondary 'Subject' Teachers (Science, English, Maths, environmental, geography, history, physics, chemistry, etc) to join our Group of Schools. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. A strong understanding of the English National Curriculum and GCSE subjects specifications is essential.

The role involves planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that promote the subject reason, problem-solving, and fluency. The teacher will use effective assessment strategies to track progress, inform planning, and support student attainment. A commitment to high expectations for learning and behaviour, inclusive practice, and positive classroom management is required. Staff are supported through a collaborative professional culture with a strong focus on continuous professional development and pastoral care. Teachers are expected to contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and whole-school events. This position is ideal for a reflective practitioner who is passionate about secondary subjects' education and eager to make a positive contribution within a dynamic international school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons in line with the British National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE/IGCSE experience desirable).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of learning, behaviour, and wellbeing.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and external examinations.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and whole-school initiatives.
  • Support students’ personal, social, and emotional development through effective pastoral care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student achievement.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, BEd, QTS, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ full-time teaching experience within a British curriculum school.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 'the subject' (GCSE/IGCSE experience preferred).
  • Fluent English speaker with strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills.
  • A student-centred and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Ability to adapt confidently to a multicultural and dynamic school environment.
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
