About Newham College: Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. With campuses in East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow, and the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) in Canning Town, we serve over 11,000 students across a range of pathways – including 16–18 study, adult education, apprenticeships, and higher education.

Newham College is looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Admissions Officer to join our dynamic Admissions team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced educational environment, supporting prospective students throughout their journey into education.
The postholder will undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the day-to-day operations of the College’s admissions service, ensuring processes are responsive, efficient, and aligned with internal policies and external regulations.
- Administer admissions processes for all College programmes, including Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE), apprenticeships, and adult learning.
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of applications in accordance with College admissions policies and funding regulations.
- Participate in team briefings and contribute to the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Deliver high-quality information, advice and guidance to prospective and current students, as well as parents.
- Collect and input student data accurately into College systems.
Level 2 Maths & English required. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults: In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, all employment offers are subject to employment checks. These include Enhanced DBS including Children’s Barred List check, DfE teaching/management Barred List check, online searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
