Service Desk Controller – OEM Location: Burton-upon-Trent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Negotiable)Service Desk Controller – Burton-upon-Trent NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Desk Controller to join a leading OEM within the heavy equipment sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in service coordination, engineering support, scheduling, or aftersales operations to join a busy team supporting customers, engineers, and dealers across the UK.

Working with a range of heavy machinery, including Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT) , you will be responsible for coordinating service activities, managing engineer workloads, and ensuring customers receive a first-class service.

The Role Coordinate field engineers, service visits, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.

Manage daily schedules to ensure engineers are efficiently allocated.

Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and managing expectations.

Log, update, and close service jobs accurately within internal systems.

Liaise with engineers, parts teams, workshops, and customers to keep jobs moving.

Monitor job progress and resolve issues quickly.

Support service performance targets including response times, utilisation, and customer satisfaction.

Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.

About You The ideal candidate will have experience within: Service Desk / Service Coordinator roles.

Field Service or engineering environments.

Heavy plant, construction equipment, automotive, or industrial sectors.

OEM or dealer aftersales operations.

You will have: Strong organisation and planning skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Good administration and IT skills.

A customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.

Desirable Experience Background supporting engineers or technicians.

Knowledge of heavy plant equipment such as ADTs, excavators, or loaders.

Experience with service management systems (SAP beneficial).

Understanding of engineering terminology and maintenance processes.
