This is a high-impact leadership role with full accountability for revenue, strategy, and team performance across a critical sector of our business. If you thrive on strategic sales leadership, managing high-value accounts, and driving new market growth, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

The Role

  • Leading the sector strategy and delivering sustained revenue growth
  • Acting as Executive Sponsor for a major strategic account (SSE)
  • Driving new customer acquisition across the Utilities market
  • Managing, leading, and developing a high-performing sales team

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a sector-wide go‑to‑market strategy
  • Identify new revenue streams across transmission, distribution, and renewables
  • Align sector plans to broader business growth objectives
  • Build and maintain C‑level relationships
  • Drive account growth, retention, and long‑term positioning
  • Lead proactive account planning and maximise wallet share
  • Develop and deliver new logo acquisition strategy
  • Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline
  • Establish market presence through industry engagement
  • Own revenue targets, growth, and margin performance
  • Lead complex deal structuring and negotiations
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline governance
  • Lead, coach, and develop Account Directors and Executives
  • Set clear KPIs and drive high performance
  • Build a strong talent pipeline and succession plan
  • Work closely with Pre‑Sales, Product, Delivery, and Marketing
  • Shape compelling customer propositions and solutions
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in Utilities, Telecoms, or Infrastructure sales
  • Track record of managing major strategic accounts (e.g. SSE‑level)
  • Strong new business and revenue growth delivery
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing sales teams
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and deal negotiation skills
  • Deep knowledge of the UK Utilities sector and regulatory landscape
  • Experience across Transmission, Distribution, Renewables, or Energy networks
  • Understanding of network/telecom solutions (fibre, ethernet, managed services)
