About the role

As CNC Milling Machinist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Clear communications and hands on approach with a strong work ethic
  • Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture
  • Working in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
  • Maintain working area to a good standard as part of 5S implementation
  • Ensure quality is maintained and follow processes for area are correctly implemented to company standards
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadline
  • Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill set
  • Help with skills flex training and cross train others when required

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Ideally Apprentice served
  • Heidenhain Programming
  • Familiar with Turning and Milling techniques
  • Experience with handling of composite materials is an advantage
  • Understand Health & Safety environment/procedures
  • Read and understand Engineering drawings
  • Good communicator with all levels of business (written & verbal)

Education:

  • GCSE/O Level or equivalent
  • Apprentice served

Experience:

  • 5 years (min) Engineering experience within the manufacturing industry
  • 5 years (min) CNC Programming knowledge (Heidenhain)
  • Modern Tool Cutting knowledge
  • CI experience (Lean 7 wastes) Safety / 5S
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft)
