About the role

The Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries at Middlesex University London is recruiting a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design for a joint education institute with Minzu University of China (MUC) on Hainan island, China.

In this role you will deliver inspiring teaching, learning and creative practice for the BA (Hons) and MA Visual Communication Design programmes, and contribute to curriculum development, student engagement and industry links.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and develop curriculum that reflects the needs of the design industry in China while engaging students with international contexts.
  • Provide innovative teaching and learning to maximise student engagement and achievement.
  • Work with colleagues to support recruitment, progression, and improve student experience.
  • Contribute to the joint institute’s reputation and knowledge transfer initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Ability to meet Chinese visa requirements; Middlesex University will assist with visa acquisition.
  • Basic DBS clearance or equivalent is required for employment and to obtain a visa/work permit.

Location: Hainan campus of the joint education institute.
