What You’ll Do:
- Cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meat products according to company standards.
- Portion and package meat products for retail display and customer orders.
- Maintain attractive, full, and well-organized meat displays.
- Ensure proper rotation of product (FIFO) to maintain freshness and minimize shrink.
- Inspect product quality and remove items that do not meet company standards.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, including product recommendations and cooking tips.
- Operate and maintain cutting equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety procedures.
- Monitor proper storage conditions, including cooler and display case temperatures.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing product in coolers and prep areas.
- Ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and signage of all products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and tools.
- Support promotional activities and assist other departments as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Prior meat cutting experience is required.
- Meat product knowledge and merchandising experience considered an asset.
- Customer service driven.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights and weekends.
