We are currently searching for a Site Electrical Engineer to join our Power Technologies department of the M-RESET division for the construction of an OCGT project based in Eye Airfield, Suffolk, UK. Your role will encompass:

  • Supervising the execution of electrical works on site in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards
  • Monitoring the installation of electrical equipment, cable systems, earthing systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of works
  • Recording daily productivity and monitoring construction progress
  • Maintaining records of installed equipment, completed works, outstanding activities, and site issues
  • Reporting technical issues and construction challenges to the engineering team and supporting their resolution
  • Ensuring the timely availability of electrical equipment and materials on site
  • Performing quality inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and safety standards
  • Supporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities
  • Monitoring progress and reporting any schedule deviations or risks to site management
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements throughout all electrical activities

What you bring to the role:

  • University Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical construction projects, preferably within substations, power generation, industrial, or energy infrastructure projects
  • Experience supervising electrical installation subcontractors
  • Good understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and construction practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
