As a result of our continued success, we are recruiting for Production Operatives with a background in Manufacturing or Production to join our team at Pollington.
You’ll join a hands-on manufacturing team at the heart of producing our industry leading concrete drainage solutions, from large pipes to manholes. You’ll build your skills using a range of tools, machinery, and lifting equipment, all while working closely with a supportive team around you.
This is a role where you can really make an impact. You’ll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency making sure we deliver the high standards we’re known for.
You will work a 40 hour week, with 3 x 12hr shifts per week.
What are the mission-critical skills?
- Proven and consistent ability to operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
- Experience setting up machines, adjusting parameters, and ensuring optimal performance
- Ability to identify faults, troubleshoot issues, and escalate where necessary
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to carry out routine checks and minor maintenance
- Understanding of production processes, machine cycles, and output optimisation
- Experience completing start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, SOPs, and production specifications
- Strong focus on quality control, ensuring products meet required standards
- Accurate recording of production data, downtime, and performance metrics
- Strong awareness and commitment to SHEQ standards
- Ability to work to production targets and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and waste reduction
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
- Concrete manufacturing experience desirable
- FLT licence desirable
