About the role

At M’S, we’re evolving how technology supports our business — and architecture is at the heart of that transformation. We’re looking for a Domain Architect to lead the technology direction across our Central domain, covering Finance, HR, Property and other core business areas. This role plays a key part in shaping architecture strategy, defining target states and guiding investment decisions across a complex landscape. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering and the wider business to simplify, modernise and deliver long-term value.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and evolve architecture strategy, target state and domain roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
  • Set direction on multi-year architecture plans and technology blueprints, driving simplification and efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements and platform strategies.
  • Lead architecture governance and guide decision‑making across Product, Engineering and business teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to domain leadership, shaping technology direction and enabling delivery.

Who you are:

  • Strong experience in enterprise architecture within large, complex organisations.
  • Proven track record delivering technology transformation and modernisation at scale.
  • Deep understanding of architecture patterns, integration and modern engineering practices.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into clear, actionable plans.

What’s in it for you?

Working at M’S means being part of something bigger — helping to deliver quality, value and service to millions of customers every day. We’re inclusive, fast-moving and always evolving, with a strong sense of purpose and a focus on doing the right thing. Here are just a few of the benefits that make working here even more rewarding:

  • 20% colleague discount on all M’S products and many third‑party brands for you and someone in your household, available once you’ve completed your probation.
  • Competitive holiday allowance with the option to buy more.
  • Discretionary bonus schemes linked to your performance and ours.
  • Strong pension and life assurance to help plan for the future.
  • Tailored induction and training to support your development from day one.
  • Exclusive perks and savings through our M’S Choices portal.
  • Market‑leading family policies, including parental, adoption and neonatal leave.
  • 24/7 wellbeing support, including virtual GP access and mental health services.
  • One paid volunteer day a year to support a cause that matters to you.
