London based 3 days a week in the office. Global banking organisation are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to support delivery across the Sponsored Repo programme and wider securities and derivatives change initiatives within Securities Operations. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role requiring autonomy across Front Office, Technology, Treasury, and external partners to drive high-quality analysis, documentation, testing, and end-to-end process redesign.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end requirements capture for repo programme across trade capture, messaging, lifecycle management, clearing, reconciliations, and exception management.
  • Support design and enhancement of operational workflows on repo programme, for centrally cleared repo via FICC, including allocations, cash and securities settlement, compare/affirmation, margining, and exception resolution.
  • Translate business needs into structured requirements and Jira user stories, ensuring full traceability through design and testing.
  • Identify and resolve gaps between current-state processes and Sponsored Repo requirements, collaborating with Front Office, TEC, and external clearing brokers/agents.
  • Define, document, and support delivery of Target Operating Models (TOMs), including process maps, roles & responsibilities, controls, and handoffs.
  • Develop test strategies, create detailed test packs, execute testing, and support UAT coordination.
  • Analyse data flows, system interactions, dependencies, and operational bottlenecks to propose pragmatic, scalable solutions.
  • Act as an operational SME, contributing to workshops, data mapping, control enhancements, and process automation opportunities.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of fixed income securities operations, trade lifecycle processes, and derivatives flows.
  • Proven Business Analysis experience within Investment banking or wider capital markets, with a solid understanding of cash and securities settlement, repo, and FICC operations would be highly desired.
  • Experience delivering regulatory change, system upgrades, migrations, or cross-functional transformation programmes.
  • Prior experience on repo or fixed income projects is highly advantageous.
  • BA/PM hybrid capability, with emphasis on Business Analysis over project management.
  • Technical aptitude with understanding of data structures, APIs, and system behaviour.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior stakeholders through structured analysis and recommendations.
