The project: Our client is the utilities provider in the South-East geographic area. Their purpose is to deliver services in an environmentally sustainable, economically beneficial, and socially responsible manner and create sustainable long-term value for all.
Driving collaborative delivery of water and recycling projects across the AMP8 programme, overseeing governance, risk, cost and change control. Manages allocated reservoir assets to meet safety, schedule, budget and regulatory milestones, supporting DCO approvals and future procurement for major reservoir infrastructure under nationally significant programmes.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing safe, high‑quality and compliant project delivery, championing wellbeing and inclusive culture.
- Overseeing end‑to‑end programme management, ensuring alignment with client vision and key milestones.
- Managing budgets responsibly, driving ethical, sustainable outcomes and shaping long‑term strategic direction.
- Developing and empowering teams, fostering collaboration, innovation and best‑practice excellence across stakeholders.
- Managing end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring timeframes, budgets and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Driving collaboration across client, consultant and contractor teams, managing senior stakeholders and project governance.
- Providing strategic expertise, continuous improvement and leadership to teams, aligning delivery with Mace’s strategic priorities.
You’ll need to have:
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Utility sector.
- Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
- Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
