Where you'll be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.
What you'll be doing?
You'll be part of our R&M Team who are responsible for the repair and maintenance of the clean water infrastructure.
You'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of repair and maintenance activities across the clean water network. Working as part of a mobile task team, the role involves assisting the Team Leader in completing operational, technical, and digital reporting tasks to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
We'll need you to be carrying out essential operational duties, including repairs on the clean water network, supporting excavations, assisting with leak detection, and ensuring all work follows company and industry standards while maintaining equipment and safe working practices.
You’ll be working closely with the Team Leader to deliver daily tasks, helping set up safe work sites, supporting colleagues, and adapting across different types of work to keep operations running smoothly and will be using field technology to record accurate job information, submit updates in real time, and help resolve basic IT issues, ensuring all digital reporting and auditing requirements are met.
You'll be driving up to 3.5T and will assist the Team Leader in setting up SLG.
You'll use a Toughbook for real time feedback and we'll need you to be able to interact with Customers and Members of the public in a professional manner.
Due to the nature of the role we'll require you to undertake an overtime and a standby emergency rota.
What you’ll bring
- Do you hold a RASWA Card? This is preferred but not essential.
- Do you hold a Valid UK driving license? This is required for the role.
- Have you got good knowledge of utility excavations?
