Where will you be working?
At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- You’ll lead safe, efficient, first-time-right project delivery while supporting both operational and back-office teams and acting as a trusted client contact.
- You’ll champion excellent health, safety, environmental and wellbeing standards, track performance, and highlight risks and opportunities.
- You’ll build strong client relationships, uphold integrity, and ensure deliverables meet technical and quality expectations.
- You’ll guide colleagues across functions, support resource planning, and collaborate with directors on technical capability and bids.
- You’ll maintain accurate programmes, meet contractual obligations, and nurture team development through clear objectives and regular appraisals.
What you’ll bring:

- Management experience in utility contracting or similar environments.
- Confident ambassador for company values, goals and strategy.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to manage this effectively.
- Supportive leader who builds relationships and influences stakeholders.
- Passion for continuous improvement and helping others grow.
- Competent MS Office user.
- Helpful understanding of MEICA, electrical systems, quality standards and NEC4.
- Engineering-related qualifications and project management knowledge.
- Full UK driving licence.
