Date: 23rd July 2026 (5:00pm) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join a busy Transportation team delivering a variety of traffic engineering projects across a London Borough.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in highways and traffic engineering who can independently manage projects, supervise junior staff, and ensure schemes are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities ?

Produce financial estimates, project statistics and payment claims ?

Monitor project progress, expenditure and programme delivery ?

Prepare contract documentation including specifications, Bills of Quantities and tender documents ?

Design and deliver traffic engineering schemes and prepare technical drawings ?

Interpret surveys, reports and consultation responses ?

Assess contractor quotations and provide technical recommendations ?

Supervise contractors, undertake site inspections and monitor quality standards

Manage traffic engineering projects and supervise junior staff in a dynamic environment.

Strong background in highways and traffic engineering required.
