About Lendable
Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
- One of the UK’s most exciting unicorns with a team of over 800 people
- Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK
- Profitable since 2017
- Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs
- Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days. We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
Join us if you want to:
- Take ownership: you are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1
- Work in small teams of exceptional people: Lendies are relentlessly resourceful. We challenge the status quo to solve problems and find smarter solutions
- Build the best technology in-house: we use new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
About the role
We're looking for a proactive, data-driven Associate Product Manager to join our UK Loans product team. You'll play an important role in shaping the customer experience after they take out a loan: from how we engage with customers and manage payments, to how we support those who experience financial difficulty.
APMs at Lendable take ownership of their product changes, working closely with teams across Engineering, Credit, Finance and Operations to solve problems and take the business to the next level. You'll have the opportunity to solve complex problems, scale impactful products, and help shape the future of our lending experience. If you're excited by fintech and enjoy turning data and customer insight into great products, we'd love to hear from you.
What you’ll work on:
- Improving repayment performance: Running experiments to help more customers pay on time, from choosing repayment dates to how and when we remind people to pay.
- Personalising customer engagement: Own how we communicate across email, SMS and in-app notifications, testing new messages and improving our tooling.
- Making loan management easier: Optimising and expanding journeys within the Zable SuperApp, particularly for those who need additional financial support.
- Using data to drive improvements: Work with Credit and Data Science to identify opportunities and build models to improve payment and servicing outcomes. Build dashboards to track key metrics and measure the impact of what we launch.
- Testing and learning with customers: Running customer research and testing ideas to understand what people need, how they behave and what works best.
- Taking products from idea to launch: Working across Engineering, Data Science and Operations to understand the impact of new features, coordinate their rollout and make sure they work for both customers and the business.
- Increasing impact with AI: Building tools and automations with AI that save time for you, the ops team and the wider business.
What we're looking for:
Don't worry if you don't meet every single one of the criteria. We'd love to hear from great candidates who are curious, proactive and excited to learn.
- Experience: 1–2 years in product, or 2-3 years in strategy, analytics, consulting or similar roles, ideally with experience working closely with product or delivery teams to get things done.
- Communication: You can clearly explain ideas and requirements to different audiences, from writing specs for engineers to training Operations teams.
- Curiosity: You ask lots of questions and aren't satisfied until you understand why something is happening.
- Problem-solving: You enjoy forming hypotheses and finding the quickest way to test them, even if the first version is rough around the edges.
- Data-driven: You're comfortable working with data and can use SQL or Python to investigate problems and answer your own questions.
- AI-native: You're already experimenting with AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex in your work or side projects, and are excited to see how far they can take you.
- Hands-on: You're happy to roll up your sleeves and pick up the small jobs. In a lean product team, no task is beneath your attention.
- Adaptable: You enjoy variety and like that no two days look quite the same.
- Bonus: Experience in lending, payments, fintech or a fast-growing startup.
AI at Lendable
We want to build the most AI-forward financial services company in the world. PMs here make their own dashboards to answer questions that used to need an analyst, build their own agents and workflows to take care of repetitive work, and ship straightforward changes to production themselves. You don't need to be an expert on day one, but we'll expect you to keep pushing what one person can do.
Interview process:
- A quick chat with someone from our Product team to see if the role is a good match
- A 15 minute cognitive assessment
- A take home task; a practical product challenge to complete in your own time
- Task debrief with the product team
- Final round (in our London office) - typically with the CPO and UK Loans MD, Engineering Manager, Head of Product and hiring manager
