Salary: £28,598 – £38,220 per year (Grade 5: £28,598 – £31,022; Grade 7: £35,412 – £38,220)
This team works across the city at restaurants, retail units, private rented homes, festivals, licensed premises and roadside locations to ensure standards are met and risks are managed.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide detailed advice and guidance on legislation and statutory obligations to businesses and landlords.
- Conduct complex inspections and build evidence‑based cases for enforcement action.
- Manage applications, undertake inspections and make decisions that balance support with proportionate enforcement.
- Prepare clear reports, statements and evidence for potential legal proceedings and represent the Service at formal hearings.
- Collaborate with other Officers on cases and support colleagues with investigations and enforcement action.
- Assist with gathering witness statements and expert opinions to create robust cases for formal enforcement.
