About the role

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong 2D and 3D design experience to work within a low-volume, high-value manufacturing environment, supporting the design and development of specialist engineering products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain detailed 2D wiring layouts
  • Create and update accurate 3D models and assemblies
  • Extract, manage, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Ensure designs are optimised for assembly and installation
  • Maintain effective data control and engineering documentation
  • Support engineering projects through the full design lifecycle

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Electrical Design Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of 2D design software
  • Experience using SolidWorks (2D and 3D)

Contract Details

  • Duration: 3 Months+
  • Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour (PAYE)
  • Location: Fareham
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Early finish every Friday)
