We're looking for an enthusiastic and talented Digital Designer with 3–5 years of agency or in-house experience to support our creative team across multiple projects.
A lot of our work starts with a bank of content and ends with a campaign. We're looking for a designer who's good at the bit in between, initially for approximately 3 weeks starting Thursday, 27 August, with scope to extend based on project needs.
Craft short-form videos, carousels, and static assets from existing footage, photos, and brand materials, united by a compelling core visual concept and thoughtfully tailored for each platform, format, and aspect ratio, rather than merely scaled down, to meet project needs.
Alongside that, you'll pick up broader design work across the agency. Digital fluency is the non-negotiable; range beyond social is what will make you a great fit rather than a good one.
You’ll be a fit if you have
- Around 3–5 years' design experience in an agency or studio
- A portfolio with social and digital campaign work, plus broader graphic design
- Real experience editing photography and video into social content
- An eye for spotting the ideas and stories inside a bank of raw content
- Comfortable working within existing brand guidelines and client-supplied assets
- Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly video production (Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition) and graphic design (Photoshop and Illustrator), plus proficiency in Figma.
- Strong typography and layout skills, with the ability to develop and contribute to art direction.
- The confidence to take a brief from concept to production-ready delivery, with limited direction
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver high-quality work to deadlines
Working with us
You’ll work directly with our Creative Director, creative producers and senior designers, with genuine input into the idea, not just the execution.
Kids Industries is a specialist insight, strategy and creative agency for the family market. Researchers, strategists, designers, developers and psychologists, all working on brands for children and families, with international clients across FMCG, entertainment and retail.
This starts as a three-week freelance booking, initially for approximately 3 weeks with scope to extend based on project needs. We’re also hiring a permanent mid-weight designer, so if it’s a good fit for both of us, there’s definitely a conversation to be had.
We pay freelancers within 30 days. No chasing!
We’d especially like to see social campaigns, short-form video, and carousels where you helped shape the creative idea and produced the final assets.
