About the role

Job Description

Our client is currently looking for a Manufacturing & Engineering Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis.

\The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise, supervise workshop activities, coordinate production, manage customer and supplier relationships, and help drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

\Workplace Pension (in line with UK auto-enrolment legislation) \39-hour week compressed into 4 days (Monday Thursday) \28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) \12-week probation period

\Coordinate workshop activities and prioritise workloads to meet customer deadlines.

\Supervise and support machinists and workshop personnel.

\Engineering & Manufacturing

\Support CNC and manual machining operations.

\Review engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing methods.

\Support quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.

\Production Planning

\Assist with production scheduling, capacity planning and resource allocation.

\Monitor work in progress and delivery performance.

\Commercial & Business Support

\Maintain production and quality records.

\Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

\Strong knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.

\Experience leading or supervising engineering teams.

\Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

\Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.

\CNC programming experience.

\Experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining.

\Knowledge of purchasing, estimating or production planning.

\Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems.

\Forklift licence.
