J&L Recruitment is looking for an experienced recruiter who wants to get their teeth into a new venture by overlooking the asbestos division. This is a senior, hands-on role. We are not looking to train someone up, and we are not looking for passengers. If you know temporary recruitment, you will already know what is expected.
This position is for someone who is comfortable managing operatives and can run a full desk properly without constant oversight. The role is focused solely on asbestos labour. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of asbestos operatives across live sites, overseeing resourcing, onboarding, and retention, and acting as a senior point of contact for both operatives and clients.
You will be expected to manage issues as they arise, maintain standards, and ensure labour supply keeps pace with demand in a fast-moving and highly regulated environment. Strong communication is essential. You will be dealing with clients and operatives daily, often under pressure, and must be able to handle difficult conversations calmly, proactively, and professionally.
This role suits someone who takes pride in running a tight operation and keeping things organised when plans change at short notice. Applicants must have previous experience working within a temporary recruitment agency. Experience supplying labour into construction or asbestos is a strong advantage, but temp recruitment experience is non-negotiable.
You must be comfortable being accountable for outcomes and making decisions that affect live sites. We need to further develop the business by developing new relationships with clients whilst maintaining existing service levels. Phones will start early, problems will need solving quickly, and standards matter.
If you are proactive, level-headed, and used to the realities of temp recruitment, you will do well here. For the right individual, this role offers a clear pathway to director-level responsibility. Highly successful candidates who demonstrate strong leadership and deliver measurable increases in sales can look forward to progression to director level, reflecting their impact on the business.
In return, we offer a senior position within a well-established specialist asbestos recruiter, with autonomy, trust, and a salary that reflects experience. Performance-related incentives are available for the right person. If you already know temp recruitment and want a role where ownership is expected and progression is earned, we want to hear from you. Package is fully negotiable for the right person.
