J&L Recruitment is looking for an experienced recruiter who wants to get their teeth into a new venture by overlooking the asbestos division. This is a senior, hands-on role. We are not looking to train someone up, and we are not looking for passengers. If you know temporary recruitment, you will already know what is expected. This position is for someone who is comfortable managing operatives and can run a full desk properly without constant oversight.
Responsibilities
- Focus on asbestos labour and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of asbestos operatives across live sites.
- Oversee resourcing, onboarding, and retention; act as a senior point of contact for both operatives and clients.
- Manage issues as they arise, maintain standards, and ensure labour supply keeps pace with demand in a fast-moving and highly regulated environment.
- Deal with clients and operatives daily, often under pressure, and handle difficult conversations calmly, proactively, and professionally.
- Run a tight operation and stay organized when plans change at short notice.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Applicants must have previous experience working within a temporary recruitment agency.
- Experience supplying labour into construction or asbestos is a strong advantage, but temp recruitment experience is non-negotiable.
- Must be comfortable being accountable for outcomes and making decisions that affect live sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with clients and operatives.
- Ability to develop business by forming new client relationships while maintaining existing service levels.
