A dynamic web design company, well established in the UK and wider market, is seeking a Back-End Web Developer. This position is 100% remote, but candidates must be based in the UK.
Salary: £40k - £45k
Responsibilities:
- Developing with PHP within WordPress, including WordPress plugins and Cloud Functions.
- Writing and modifying JavaScript and jQuery code.
- Maintaining integrations with third-party systems via Google Cloud Platform.
- Troubleshooting and resolving application issues, providing diagnostic and analytical support.
- Planning and implementing model data structures for scalability.
- Writing secure code.
- Participating in all phases of the development life cycle.
- Maintaining and improving existing data structures.
- Researching, evaluating, and analysing technical and design requirements.
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs/flaws to ensure servers are running optimally.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in PHP and PHP frameworks, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL.
- Excellent relational database skills with MySQL.
- Version control (Git).
- Composer and Package Control.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform, particularly GSQL and Cloud Functions.
- Experience with WordPress/WooCommerce bespoke theme customisation and maintenance.
- Customisation and use of WooCommerce.
- Working with REST APIs.
- Proficiency in presenting information to end users and business.
- Demonstrates close attention to detail and accuracy.
