Job Description
We are seeking an experienced 18T HGV Driver to join our team in Cambridge.
HIAB experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, customer-focused, and committed to working safely and effectively as part of a successful team.
The Role
As one of our drivers, you will be customer-facing and responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safe and efficient operation of an 18T vehicle
- Completing deliveries accurately and on time
- Ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle legislation
- Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining JDP’s strong reputation
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have
- A valid Class C licence
- HIAB certification is desirable; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate who is keen to develop their skills.
- Driver CPC training completed
- A digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices
- A strong understanding of driver procedures, including driving hours rules and regulations
- The ability to plan efficient delivery routes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
