About the role

You will own the product end-to-end, from frontend to infrastructure, working directly with the technical lead. This is a founding-level role where you will ship features that automate complex legal workflows and eliminate manual processes.

Location: London, UK

Why this role is remarkable:

  • Founding engineer position with total ownership over the product roadmap, technical architecture, and engineering culture from day one.
  • Transition from a successful fractional General Counsel firm into a high-growth tech platform with a front-row seat to industry pain points.
  • High-impact work building sophisticated agentic AI tools that solve real-world efficiency problems for legal teams at venture-backed companies.

What you will do:

  • Design and build end-to-end features using React, Node.js, and TypeScript, moving from user problem to production code without PM intervention.
  • Develop and maintain complex multi-step workflows, background jobs, and webhook-driven integrations to automate manual legal tasks.
  • Architect and secure our AWS cloud environment, ensuring the platform is scalable and resilient as we expand our user base.

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience shipping production software with React and Node.js/TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on owning systems end-to-end.
