Job Purpose Summary
Conduct activities to facilitate the transit of received product for the warehouse function, ensuring accurate records of product receipt, location and movement are created.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Take delivery of goods and supplies
- Visually inspect all deliveries for defects and ensure that all inspection findings are recorded, including photographic records.
- Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck.
- Ensure that any equipment used in the visual inspection are in full working order.
- Check deliveries in accordance with the daily shipping schedule.
- Liaise internally to resolve issues relating to product issues.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
- Ensure all product is appropriately located and stored and that electronic stock locations are accurately updated and maintained in Global Trader.
- Assist with stock checks when required.
- Conduct training activities within the Goods in function when needed.
- To observe ESD precaution at all time when handling product.
- Ensure your working area is tidy and practice good housekeeping.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a team with others.
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure your own safety and that of others
- Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
- Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
Key requirements
- Education: A-level qualified
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week
- Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and Excel would be an advantage
- Forklift operator license is advantageous, but not a must have
- Ideally 1 year prior experience in a warehouse environment, but we are open to less experience as well
