We’re looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Engineer to join our growing Implementations team. If you enjoy travelling, solving technical challenges, working directly with customers and being part of a fast-moving tech company, this could be the perfect role for you.

As one of our Engineers, you’ll play a key role in delivering the InVentry experience to customers across the UK. From installing hardware and configuring software to training users on-site, no two days are ever the same. You’ll be part of a supportive, energetic team that takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences from installation through to go-live. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of technical work, problem-solving, and customer interaction in a field-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing InVentry visitor management systems on customer sites across the UK
  • Physically mounting hardware and carrying out cable routing where required
  • Configuring software and integrating systems into customer networks
  • Delivering on-site training sessions for customers, helping them get the very best from our products
  • Installing and supporting additional InVentry software solutions
  • Preparing installation equipment and job packs ahead of deployments
  • Assisting with testing new software releases and features
  • Providing technical support and assistance to internal teams when needed
  • Representing InVentry professionally and delivering an outstanding customer experience on every visit

Skills & Experience Required:

  • We’re looking for someone who is technically minded, organised, and confident working directly with customers.
  • The ideal candidate will have:
    • A strong understanding of Windows desktop and server operating systems
    • Knowledge of networking technologies such as Cat5, switches, hubs, and power injectors
    • Experience in an ICT support or technical support environment
    • Confidence using power and hand tools for hardware installations (full training provided)
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • The ability to confidently deliver training sessions to small groups
    • A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
    • A willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
    • Knowledge of Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and cable routing installations
    • Experience with Paxton Door Access system is desirable
