About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our clients growing civil engineering team based in Bridgwater. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing a diverse range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the South West.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate and competitive tenders
  • Analysing project costs
  • Supporting the business in winning profitable work
  • Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering projects
  • Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
  • Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Identifying project risks and opportunities during the tender stage
  • Supporting handover of successful projects to the delivery and commercial teams
  • Maintaining estimating databases and cost information

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Estimator role within the civil engineering or construction sector
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, groundworks, highways, drainage, or utility projects
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
  • Full UK driving licence
