About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our clients growing civil engineering team based in Bridgwater. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing a diverse range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the South West.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate and competitive tenders
- Analysing project costs
- Supporting the business in winning profitable work
- Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering projects
- Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Identifying project risks and opportunities during the tender stage
- Supporting handover of successful projects to the delivery and commercial teams
- Maintaining estimating databases and cost information
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Estimator role within the civil engineering or construction sector
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, groundworks, highways, drainage, or utility projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Full UK driving licence
