Our client, a leading managed service provider specialising in the education sector, is hiring an IT Engineer to deliver dedicated on-site support within a school environment. This role offers the opportunity to act as the trusted face of IT, providing hands-on support while working alongside a wider engineering and service delivery function to ensure a stable, secure, and high-performing IT environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver day-to-day on-site IT support to staff and students
  • Act as a visible, approachable IT presence across the school
  • Manage and prioritise helpdesk tickets in line with SLAs
  • Support classroom technology and digital learning tools
  • Maintain user devices, accounts, and core systems

You’ll work closely with central engineering teams, service delivery management, and third-party suppliers to ensure consistent service and continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong 1st line IT support experience in a user-facing role
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and user issues
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including user account management
  • Understanding of basic networking (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing)
  • Experience supporting devices, printers, and AV equipment
