IKEA Croydon would like to welcome a Checkout Services Manager to the team. Are you a customer service champion with a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a Checkout Services Manager to lead our front-end team. You will ensure smooth and efficient checkout operations, train and motivate staff, and enhance the customer experience. - Competitive starting salary of £37,000 per annum based on competence and experience.
- 39 hours per week working 5 days over 7 with every other weekend off.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Proven customer focused mindset, with a sound understanding of business and a background gained from working in a customer-focused, fast-moving and multichannel retail environment.
- Experience of working in a management role within retail and taking responsibility for a large team.
- Confident communicator who can take the initiative to influence others and adapt quickly to changing demands using customer insights.
- Ability to set clear expectations and directions with good analytical and numerical skills.
- Proven record/experience of developing people and organisations.
- Ability to understand the key principles of the shopping experience and customers’ expectations.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Prioritise our customers having a positive payment experience by ensuring the checkout area is in shape as new, co-workers are ready and available to assist customers.
- Overseeing a large team of co-workers and Team Leaders to ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.
- Be available to support the checkout co-workers when they cannot resolve a customer's need, dealing positively and quickly with issues raised by our customers.
- Understand the importance of accurate stock inventory and coach the checkout co-worker to have this knowledge.
- Ensure there is the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time to run the checkout area efficiently.
- Follow cash handling procedures to ensure the security of money handling.
