We are looking for a Fire Safety Adviser with solid operational experience who has experience within large, complex environments. This is a hands-on role providing expert fire safety advice across North Bristol Trust, where you will ensure full compliance with legislation while protecting life and property in one of the region’s busiest acute hospital sites.
- Conducting and reviewing fire risk assessments
- Providing specialist technical and legislative advice to staff across the organisation
- Overseeing fire incidents – investigation, reporting, and embedding learning
- Building strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting bespoke fire safety training delivery
- Delivering proportionate, collaborative solutions in a complex healthcare setting
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in fire safety
- Thorough working knowledge of the Fire Safety Order and associated guidance (HTM Health Technical Memorandum)
- Confident in building rapport with stakeholders and advising/influencing senior leaders
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, workable solutions
- Experience in incident investigation and report writing
- Experience of working in large, complex organisations
- L4 Fire Qualification (or working towards it)
- NEBOSH and other qualifications are welcomed but not essential – we are flexible for the right candidate.
