About the opportunity
As a Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks within our Sales team.
Main Duties
- Receipt of customer enquiries via email, phone and customer portals.
- Breakdown of BoM’s to establish required manufacturing discipline(s).
- Contact with external suppliers where required.
- Register enquiries on internal trackers.
- Tracking customer enquiries via trackers and online dashboards.
- Expediting responses from suppliers.
- Building back up total costs for all BoM component parts.
- Creating submission documents for customers.
Ideally you will have
- Familiarity of a precision engineering environment.
- Commercial acumen.
- Work as part of a busy customer facing sales team.
- Engineering background, ability to read an engineering drawing.
- Can do approach to work.
- Excellent communications and problem-solving skills.
- Have an organised approach to work.
- Have a good team working ethic, be pro-active and motivated.
- IT literate, with skills in the Microsoft suite of software, in particular Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Previous costing experience.
