Automatic Door Service Engineer required – Working knowledge of automatic door systems and practices is required. We are seeking a motivated engineer with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to join our team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a company with over 30 years of industry experience.

Earnings are negotiable based on experience.

Duties to include:

  • Conducting fault finding, stripping down, and the repair of all manufacturers’ automatic doors and equipment.
  • Ensuring all equipment is left in safe working order, restored in‑line with BS 7036 and BS EN16005 safety standards.
  • Providing scheduled maintenance cover and where required, out of hours call‑outs.
  • Completion of work in a timely manner, aiming to rectify faults on first attendance to site.
  • Housekeeping tasks to be carried out during all visits and customers to be made aware of the work that has been completed on site, and any recommended/required works going forwards.
  • Submission of detailed reports on the work carried out, findings, details of stock used, and a video of the doors left in working order.
  • Consulting with customers on their door requirements, promoting all intercompany/group products where possible.
  • Adhering to health and safety systems at all times to ensure the correct and safe servicing of our products.

Personal Profile

  • Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude and great interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training to further develop your skillset and role within the business.

Requirements

  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Working knowledge of automatic door systems, aligned industry technologies and practices.
  • CSCS Card holder.
  • ADSA or ADIA Card Holder.

Preferred

  • NVQ Level 2 accredited Skilled Worker.
  • Understanding of BS 7036: 1996/2014 and BS EN16005: 2012 safety standards.

  • 20 days’ holiday entitlement. Plus, Bank Holidays and a 3‑day Christmas shut down.
