About the Company: HireIQ are delighted to be partnering with a long-established Northern Ireland Practice to recruit an Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys a split between audit and accounts, and is seeking an opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio.

About the role:

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts and audit clients
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts
  • Leading and delivering statutory audits from planning through to completion
  • Preparing management accounts and financial statements
  • Supporting clients with accounting and technical queries
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Developing junior staff
  • Working closely with Senior Managers and Partners on more complex assignments

About you:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Accounts preparation experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks (FRS 102, IFRS advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using audit software
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workload, and work effectively as part of a team
