About the Company: HireIQ is excited to be partnering with an established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Audit to lead and develop its audit function. This is a senior opportunity for an ambitious audit professional who is looking to take ownership of an established portfolio, lead a team and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice.
About the role:
- Lead the firm's audit function and oversee the delivery of a varied portfolio
- Manage and develop a team of audit professionals
- Take responsibility for audit planning, execution and completion
- Maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base
- Review complex audit work and provide technical guidance
- Work closely with Partners and senior leadership on the strategic development of the audit offering
- Identify opportunities to grow the portfolio and develop new client relationships
- Support and mentor the wider audit team, helping to build a strong culture and high-quality service
About you:
- ACA / ACCA qualified with 5+ years PQ experience
- Significant external audit experience within practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS
- Proven experience managing audit teams and client portfolios
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities for growth
- A strong leader who is keen to make a genuine impact within a growing practice
