Depot Administrator – Reading
We’re recruiting a proactive Depot Administrator to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of a busy depot, hiring site Welfare and consumables to the construction and infrastructure sectors. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, provide essential administrative support, and help keep operations moving efficiently. As the depot grows, so will the opportunity to develop your role.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle incoming calls and deliver excellent customer service
- Generate and process delivery/collection notes via Insphire
- Log damages and process customer charges for returned assets
- Welcome visitors and ensure Health & Safety compliance
- Coordinate van MOTs, servicing and repairs with third‑party providers
- Provide updates on stock availability and movements
- Manage depot stock transfers in and out
- Support other depots during admin absence
- Improve systems and processes to boost depot efficiency
What You’ll Bring
- Strong admin experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Background in construction, hire or manufacturing
- Confident with Microsoft Office
- Customer‑facing experience
- Comfortable working to deadlines and within a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Awareness of Health & Safety
- Diligent, professional, enthusiastic and composed
- Eligible to work in the UK
Salary: £29,215
Hours: Mon–Thu 07:45–16:30, Fri 07:00–15:30
