They are a large chain of builders merchants who offer a very competitive package with great prospects within the company. They are also extremely well established with nearly 40 years experience in the industry. They are looking for a yard operative / forklift driver.

Responsible to: Yard Manager

Main Objectives:

  • General yard op duties, maintenance, cleaning and recycling materials of a busy Builders Merchant.

Place of Work: Watford WD25 6.30am – 4.30pm or 7.30-5.30 Mon – Fri 6.30am – 4.30 p.m. Every Second Saturday

Job Specification:

  • Loading and unloading goods using a forklift
  • Picking and packing
  • Assisting with deliveries
  • Replenishing stock
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures
  • Assisting in any other Warehouse duties as required

Person Specification:

  • Good level of fitness
  • Good team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • An awareness of health & safety issues
  • Previous experience of working in an outdoor environment
