Exciting refurbishment planned to transform this pub into a vibrant community local. It will not only provide a cosy, warm and welcoming environment for locals, but will also offer 4 letting rooms.

Trading Area & Facilities

Inside, the Greyhound is in good condition and is full of rustic charm. The trading area is divided into three distinct zones: the front lounge which has a log burning fire and soft leather sofas; the dining area which offers casual dining for 48 covers and is often used for events; and the contemporary sports bar which proves popular with teams for pool, darts and skittles. There are three letting rooms which provide an additional revenue stream for the future operator. Outside, the pub has great kerb appeal thanks to modern signage and a good lighting scheme. There is a modern, decked area with picnic tables for dining or drinks in the warmer summer months for customers and also a children's play area. Finally, a large, secure, free car park is available for customers.

Vibrant Village Inn

Set in the historical Somerset village of Stogursey, The Greyhound Inn is a wonderfully cosy village local with three letting rooms. Surrounded by homes, the mature residents of idyllic Stogursey present an excellent customer base for the pub. The village itself is picturesque and popular with tourists travelling around the beautiful coast. Popular with walkers and locals, the pub offers a great range of fresh ales, beers & ciders which can be enjoyed in the front lounge. The dining area, which serves classic pub favourites and meats from the grill, is also used for a variety of events, including a regular quiz, open mic nights and live music. Boasting rustic and warm letting rooms, the pub benefits from this letting income as an additional revenue stream. The local area is also seeing a significant economic upturn with the construction of the Hinkley Point C power station which is bringing up to 5,000 skilled contractors into the area.

Creative Community Operator Wanted

Due to the village location of this site and the versatile nature of the offer, we are looking for a personable, creative Entrepreneur. The new operator would ideally be able to demonstrate previous experience in delivering a good food offer, followed by the business acumen to make it happen. Alternatively, we would consider someone without previous experience but could demonstrate great business acumen and a strong business plan. Does this sound like you?
