Production Design Engineer – Dungannon

Your new role
Your new role as a Production Design Engineer will involve taking charge of products and transitioning them into production. You will be responsible for enhancing product designs from concept to installation, providing engineering support to the production team, and collaborating with colleagues to assist the sales team. Regular meetings with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Design Team will ensure effective communication of business improvement initiatives. You will also engage in continuous improvement activities to boost production, product quality, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will create CAD models and drawings, source materials and components, and represent the company at relevant exhibitions and trade shows.
What you’ll need to succeed
What you’ll need to succeed includes a solid educational background, with proficiency in English and Maths, and at least five years of design experience, or a degree in an Engineering discipline with one year of design experience. You should have experience with CAD design, knowledge of relevant safety standards, and design experience in a materials handling manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with well-developed analytical, innovative, and problem-solving abilities, are essential. You should be solution-oriented, able to work independently, and possess excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.
