Your new company
A leading manufacturer, based in Cheltenham, is seeking to add an established people leader to their business, joining as the Production Manager. With a very healthy order book, spanning the next 25 years, this business will provide you with career stability and a platform to grow your career.
Your new role
As the Production Manager, you'll be reporting in to the Site General Manager with a dotted reporting line in to the Manufacturing Director. Within this role, you will be expected to lead a team of 12 supervisors with indirect responsibility for 120 colleagues. Currently operating on a single shift basis, you will be expected to drive OEE efficiency, focus on reducing downtime and improving RFT standards. You will be expected to support the Operational Excellence Manager with project delivery and identifying investment areas (with short > medium term ROI).
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Production Manager, you'll need to have gained the experience of working within a Production Manager or Operations Manager role within a low-volume, high-margin manufacturer in the past. In addition to this, it would be highly beneficial to have a working knowledge of lean / 6 sigma processes whilst having gained the experience of setting and managing budgets for your department. In addition to these hard skills, the company is looking for someone that can lead a team through change, manage performance effectively and develop a clear succession talent plan.
What you'll get in return
As the Production Manager, you'll be paid an annual salary of up to £60,000, which is dependent upon your experience. In addition to this salary, you'll be entitled to the site-wide leadership bonus scheme and upon completion of your probation period, you'll be entitled to their extensive list of flexible salary sacrifice benefits.
