As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced technical prepress professional to join their team and provide specialist support across artwork, reprographics and flexographic print production.

About the Role

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for managing the prepress process from initial artwork and technical brief through to press-ready files and flexographic plate production.

Working closely with customers, production and technical teams, you will ensure artwork is technically suitable for print, projects are delivered efficiently and any potential issues are identified and resolved before they impact production.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of flexographic printing and packaging production, together with excellent organisational and communication skills.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, technical knowledge and attention to detail are essential.

This is a full-time, site-based position supporting live production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing artwork, amendments, reprographics, proofing and flexographic plate production.
  • Reviewing technical briefs and ensuring artwork is fully prepared and suitable for print.
  • Providing technical advice on flexographic prepress, print processes and production feasibility.
  • Coordinating projects from initial brief through to press-ready output.
  • Working closely with production, technical and customer-facing teams to ensure projects progress smoothly.
  • Monitoring project deadlines, service levels and production requirements.
  • Identifying potential technical or production issues at an early stage and implementing effective solutions.
  • Supporting print trials, press-side investigations and technical problem solving.
  • Attending project and production meetings, ensuring clear actions and communication between relevant teams.
  • Helping to improve prepress processes, workflows and efficiencies, with a focus on reducing lead times and maintaining quality.
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of technical accuracy, quality and documentation.
  • Acting as a key technical point of contact for customers and internal production teams.

About You

You will be an experienced prepress or reprographics professional with a strong understanding of flexographic printing and packaging production.

You will ideally have experience working with packaging artwork, reprographics and flexographic plate production, and be confident managing multiple projects within a busy manufacturing environment.
