The Opportunity
Instructed by our market-leading corporate client, we are looking for lawyers to join the team in a role that makes use of key legal skills and experience but in a completely different capacity. There will still be some similarities with the legal world:
- You will be working with and advising a sophisticated range of City-based clients with which there are long-standing, high value relationships;
- The focus of your role will be to consider, manage and mitigate risk on behalf of your clients;
- You will build great client relationships from an early stage and will become a trusted advisor;
- You will be working within a specialist team of professionals which strives for commercial success.
What makes this role different is that:
- You won’t be recording billable hours;
- It will be far easier to predict workloads and manage your time;
- You will be able to enjoy a genuine work/life balance; there is no long-hours culture;
- You will have autonomy from an early stage;

The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit individuals with intellectual curiosity who are looking for a long-term alternative to a career in the legal profession, without losing any of their specialist skills. It would also particularly suit someone who wants to continue to be challenged and to develop but within an organisation that values life outside of work.
You could have qualified as a solicitor within the last year or two or be a number of years into it. Your appetite for change is what matters most.

You’ll receive bespoke training tailored specifically to you and delivered by team members from day one until you are confident advising clients independently. There will be fantastic support from the wider team, many of whom made the same transition from the legal world.
