About The Role: Join Stansted Airport’s Data & Insight Team and help drive a truly data-led culture across the organisation. In this senior role, you’ll shape how the airport uses data to improve customer experience, enhance operational performance and support strategic decision making. As a data SME, you’ll partner with departments across the airport to build reliable, insightful data products and deliver high-quality analytics that uncover trends, solve operational challenges and demonstrate the value of data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior team member, deputising for the Head of Data & Insight, providing thought leadership and supporting Performance Analysts.
- Deliver accurate, actionable insights from multiple data sources; lead deep-dive analysis into performance and system issues; manage delivery of key data outputs.
- Support operational performance reviews with clear reporting and insight, ensuring consistent standards and trusted data across the airport.
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, MAG Technology and the Data and Strategic Analytics (DASA) teams to streamline data, automate reporting and validate new systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability, championing a single source of truth and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
What Will Make You Successful: You’ll bring proven experience in senior data, analytics or insight roles, with strong numerical and problem-solving skills and the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling stories for stakeholders including the Senior Leadership team. Your technical capability spans advanced Power BI development, SQL expertise and working with large datasets in modern cloud environments. You build trusted relationships across Technology and business teams, communicate with influence, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-changing operational setting. A passion for data, continuous learning and sharing best practice will help you shape and elevate the airport’s data-driven culture.
