H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting an Estimator for an established engineering and construction business in Barnsley.
You’ll join a collaborative team, preparing estimates and supporting tenders across a varied range of projects. This would suit someone who enjoys working with technical drawings, building accurate costs and developing relationships with clients.
The role
- Review enquiries, drawings and specifications.
- Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tender submissions.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to gather information and clarify requirements.
- Identify commercial opportunities and potential risks.
- Manage multiple enquiries and work to submission deadlines.
- Maintain client relationships and support new business opportunities.
What we’re looking for
- Previous estimating experience within engineering, manufacturing or construction.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Confident communication and organisational skills.
- Experience within steelwork, fabrication or metalwork would be advantageous.
- A relevant technical or engineering qualification is desirable.
