The purpose of the HR Team at Grosvenor is to make business success inevitable through our people; creating a high performance and inclusive culture that great people want to be part of. All roles in our team are critical to help us deliver our goals and this position is no exception. It’s a varied and busy job, reporting to one of our HR Business Partners. The role will have a split focus – working with our Recruiter to provide excellent recruitment support and with the HR Operations Team to provide HR administrative support across our business groups. This role is a great opportunity for someone seeking to start their career in HR with opportunities to learn the basics and get involved in a variety of HR activities. You will need to be prepared to get stuck in and work in a fun but fast paced and high-performance environment.
As a small business there are times when we all have to pitch in where necessary to get the job done, but you will find our friendly team to be collaborative, committed to delivering for the business, and always happy to help each other out. We are confident that we will be able to offer an apprentice a great introduction to the various HR disciplines with plenty of opportunities to learn. The successful candidate will complete the HR Support, Level 3 Apprenticeship which is on average an 18-month apprenticeship.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities will be split between two HR specialisms. Initially we envisage this split will be 60% recruitment and 40% HR operations, but this will change throughout the year depending on HR activities and deliverables.
- Recruitment Support with recruitment activities including candidate attraction and marketing of vacancies, candidate management and communications and with the interview and assessment process.
- Supporting early careers recruitment including internships, graduates and apprentices.
- Support with the design and management of work experience activities.
- Monitoring and updating of our applicant tracking system to ensure effective and timely candidate management and communications.
HR Operations Support the HR Operations Team with HR administrative activities including reference checking and requests, on-boarding, production of employment related letters and monitoring of key employment dates and milestones, highlighting with the HR Business Partner team as appropriate. Liaise with new joiners and current employees to ensure an efficient and customer focussed solution to queries and requests. Production of relevant reports and data analysis as requested. Provide support for any HR initiatives, other HR Operations work and HR projects and improvements including the use of AI to make processes more efficient.
Key Requirements- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4 or above and at least two A levels (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in HR is not required but we are looking for candidates who have a real interest in business and HR with an enthusiasm to develop their HR knowledge, skills and expertise.
- A customer service attitude, comfortable dealing with candidates, external stakeholders and those from all levels across our business.
- Strong attention to detail and able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
- Proactive, innovative thinker who is interested in solving problems and process improvement. An interest in AI and HR technology would be beneficial.
- Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion as appropriate, whilst working in an environment of collaboration.
