GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and progressive law firm, who are looking to appoint an experienced Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE to join their established Dispute Resolution team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, commercially minded litigator who enjoys handling a diverse and challenging caseload, building strong client relationships and achieving positive outcomes. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team with opportunities to work on complex, director-led cases, support junior colleagues and play an active role in the continued growth of the department.
The Role:
- Managing a varied litigation caseload from initial instruction through to conclusion.
- Advising a diverse client base, including businesses, trusts, charities and individuals.
- Handling a broad range of disputes, including general and civil litigation, commercial disputes, property litigation and contentious probate.
- Developing case strategies and providing clear, practical legal advice throughout proceedings.
- Drafting statements of case, witness statements, legal correspondence and other relevant documentation.
- Instructing and working closely with counsel and other professionals.
- Representing clients in court, mediation and settlement negotiations.
- Assisting with complex, director-led matters where appropriate.
- Supporting and supervising junior members of the team.
- Contributing to business development, networking and raising the profile of the Litigation team and firm.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in litigation.
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of contentious matters, ideally including civil and commercial disputes, property litigation and contentious probate.
- Candidates with more specialist litigation experience may also be considered.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- The ability to manage a caseload independently while delivering exceptional client service.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with an interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
- A genuine commitment to business development and contributing to the firm's continued success.
