This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join a luxury country house hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. Set within a beautiful countryside location close to a historic estate, the hotel offers unique bedrooms, comfortable interiors, memorable menus and a warm, high quality guest experience.
This is a hands on role, not an office based position. You will be actively visible throughout the hotel, meeting guests, supporting service and leading from the front. The role will focus on the smooth day to day running of the Food and Beverage operation, including restaurant service, events, guest experience, team leadership, cost control, quality, standards and operational efficiency.
The successful person will manage and mentor Heads of Department and supervisors, ensuring the team is well trained, knowledgeable and motivated to deliver excellent customer service. You will also support event administration, review guest and client feedback, resolve issues professionally and work closely with the senior management team to drive service standards, profitability and overall hotel success.
This role would suit a confident and commercially aware Food and Beverage leader with strong experience in a quality 4 star hotel environment. You will need to be passionate about hospitality, highly guest focused and comfortable working evenings and weekends as part of a 5 day working weeks, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area.

Food and Beverage Operations Manager Ideal Profile:
- Managerial experience within a quality 4 star hotel or luxury hospitality operation
- Strong Food and Beverage background with experience across restaurant, events, guest service and operational leadership
- Confident leading Heads of Department, supervisors and wider teams, with the ability to train, mentor and motivate people
- Commercially aware, with strong understanding of payroll, costings, labour, sales, budgets and profitability
- Guest focused and confident handling feedback, complaints and client relationships professionally
- Strong communicator with working knowledge of wider hotel support functions including HR, sales, marketing, accounts and maintenance
- Computer literate, flexible for evenings and weekends, smart in appearance and passionate about high service standards
Food and Beverage Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day running of the Food and Beverage operation in line with standard operating procedures
- Lead and mentor Heads of Department and supervisors, supporting payroll, costings, quality and team performance
- Remain actively visible throughout the hotel, meeting guests, supporting service and leading from the front
- Ensure excellent customer service, resolve complaints effectively and review guest and client feedback with senior management
- Maintain compliance across health and safety, food safety, training, workplace standards and company procedures
- Drive sales, profitability and efficiency through cost control, labour planning, revenue opportunities and operational improvements
- Support event administration, management reporting, team training and labour forecasting in line with budgets and business needs
